Dreaded weather it was, the sun was out, but you could not tell thanks to the clouds and the rain that was coming down harder then buckets. Everyone walking about with there umbrellas out and making sure that they were not going to get wet. Cerri would so have done a shield spell, if it was not for the fact that she was in the Muggle section of the city, and she did not want to put up with some people asking her some things that she did not know how to answer, that and she did not want to get into trouble with the Ministry that would be bad. So she had her umbrella out and had been walking through the rain making her way to the Leaky Cauldron. The day had started out just fine, waking up in the morning, washing up and getting herself something to eat, she did not like the mornings, but she had to get through them anyways, that and she so wanted to be out of the house for some time. So Cerridwen made sure she had some food, nice breakfast and got into her normal muggle clothes, tucking in a robe into her bag as she left the house, she would use it later.
She took the underground going to the stop she wanted, there was a lot of people there, her mind buzzed about what she had to do that day. School was going to be starting soon and she was going to need to get her act together for the classes that she had to teach. She loved being a professor now, she had all the things that she had wanted to do, and time was now on her side for it. She liked helping kids along with the things that they were going to be learning, and well it made her happy, and it took a lot to make her happy. So once she got off the train and headed up to the top, out of the underground she put up the umbrella and had started walking to where she was going. It wasn't going to take long, since she knew where she was going, and it was close to where the train stopped. She watched the muggles as she was walking, making sure that they were not watching her, she ducked around and then made her way into the Leaky Cauldron, that was when she breathed again. Putting the umbrella into her bag, she got her cloak out and put it on, feeling a lot better now. Walking over to the counter she sat herself down and smiled at the bar keep who asked her what she wanted. "A butter beer and a fire whisky." She said with a smile as she waited now.

Today was the second time that week that Logan had made the trek from the Ministry to Diagon Alley. It was all in central London, though on this day the trek really did some as long and dangerous as it sounded. The rain was heavy and muggles everywhere were rushing past him back to their homes. He had never seen so many of them, and while he respected them just as he would any human, he felt a sense of higher knowing as he slipped through the doors of the Leaky Cauldron pub and into a place which no muggle would be able to see unless they knew where it was. Diagon Alley. Making his way through the crowded pub, Logan was about to move out the back door and head into the main shopping area when he caught sight of a lone woman sitting at the bar and casting a smile at the bartender.
It was a smile that Logan could not mistake, nor would he forget the look on the woman's face that he remembered so well. It was a silent confidence, as though the woman knew she was better than most people in the room at most everything, but she was also wise enough to not say it. In a matter of moments Logan had moved to sit on a bar stool next to his old school friend, and he spun around on it a little till his entire body was facing her, a grin plastered on his face. It had been years since he had last run into Cerridwen, and the last he had heard she had taken a teaching position up at Hogwarts. "Cerri!" Logan exclaimed, nodding his head at the bartender and quickly ordering a butterbeer. He was technically at work, which meant no drinking. "How long has it been this time?" the man pressed on with an amused laugh. Every time the two ran into each other, it always began with "how long has it been". "We have a lot to catch up on -" Logan added, quickly glancing at his watch before frowning. "I'm early for an appointment with some Ministry work - er - I'll explain about that in a moment,"[/b] the Gryffindor alumni remarked, smiling thoughtfully as he realised it was only recently he had been promoted to Minister of Magic. Just two years ago he had been the Head of International Magical Cooperation. He was sure Cerri had things to tell him to, and he simply looked at her, waiting for her to take control of the situation as she had always done at school.

She had been distracted by the sound of the rain on the roof of the building that she was sitting in, that rain sound made her wonder what was going to go on the rest of the day, if it just didn’t stop it. She was there for a good strong drink and something else, she wanted to bring herself back around to the real world, and in that she was going to get a strong drink. She swung her feet for a little bit, her mind was wondering in all the things that she was doing. She wanted to remember to pick up some new books, there was a new one coming into today, being friends with the book shop keeper she knew when all the books that she wanted was going to be coming in, and when she should be in there for sales. She was sure that she had some other things that she wanted to do that day as well, but for then she was thinking about the books and the things that she was drinking in the small pub, that was when something caught her and she was brought back into the real world and the past for the most part.
Her smile brightened up when she saw who it was that was talking to her, she was beyond herself with joy. It had been some time since she had last seen him, and he looked so much better, then again she didn’t remember a lot of what anyone looked like back in school. She was after all a bit older as well, so she wouldn’t have to worry about herself to, she didn’t remember what she looked like either. "Wow Logan! It has been some time since I last saw you." She said and laughed some as she shifted in her seat and turned looking at him, looking him over and just smiling, he did look good since the last time that she had seen him, and she was happy to know that he was doing well. "We do have a lot to catch up on, I mean, your Minister of Magic now, that’s something to talk about. What have you been keeping yourself up with as of late? Oh and yeah I am teaching at Hogwarts, aint that something else, I never thought that I would get caught up in the school like this again." She said and laughed a moment, it was a good moment.

Logan's smile only widened when Cerri remembered him, and their last meeting. Too many times did he have to pretend to remember someone from his school days, but they seemed to remember each other perfectly. The smile lingered on his lips long after Cerri had finished talking, and he took a few moments to take in what she had said. So she knew about his position as Minister of Magic, although his face was plastered around newspapers in the wizarding world; it wasn't hard to miss. Logan Sullivan to blame for unemployment. Logan Sullivan wizarding hero for cutting unemployment rates. He had lost track of whether he was loved or hated.
"Bet you never thought I'd become the face of wizarding Britain,"[/b] Logan remarked, pointing towards his face with a steady hand and plastering the best grin he could on it. Cerri knew him for who he was. She had been the one he went to for the sort of advice he just didn't dare to admit to his other friends. Things he was too ashamed or embarrassed to talk about with anyone but Cerri. Worries about being a half blood. Fears for the future. Difficulties in doing anything other than making girls he liked laugh. I don't want you to laugh, I want you to -
Logan quickly smiled lightly at Cerri as he heard that she was now teaching at Hogwarts, something which he already knew of but had never had the chance to ask her which class. "Go on then, which class are you being a know it all in in this time?" Logan questioned, chuckling to himself before glancing at the bar as a butterbeer was slid across towards him. Taking a quick drink, the Minister then tilted his head back to glance at Cerri. "Don't tell me you're teaching all the classes," Logan added suddenly, placing an expression of mock disbelief on his features as he waited to know which one she had singled out as her favourite. It wasn't about which she was best at.

"Never thought I would see the day that Logan Sullivan would be the head of the Wizarding area here, just blows my mind how far you have come. It is quiet amazing really." She couldn’t help a laugh as she was looking at him, there he was, all bold as brass and she just couldn’t help remembering the time when they ere younger and she was the bossy know it all and he was her study buddy, and how much work they actually got through, she missed school, well she missed going to school, she had an alright time with teaching and what not. She watched him for a while, there was many memories that she had about the time that she was in school, it was hard for her to remember everything but she was beyond happy to see him again. "I just think that it is so nice, to see someone so worth of that job being in the job. You are going to be amazing, no sorry you are amazing. You are a great minister, and well, it is a lot better here thanks to you never felt more safe then I have now."
She then laughed again, a bit to loud then covered her mouth quickly as she giggled about the things that he had just said to her. She shook her head, she was smart and she knew a lot of things, but she was not a know it all, even if she did push herself to be one at that. She took a drink from her drink and then shifted in the chair that she was sitting in to make sure she was not going to fall off again. "Me? Oh come on, was i really that bad in school that you would think I was a know it all?? Haha, well, no I am only teaching one class, and no more then that because I don’t think i could handle more then one class. No, I am teaching Defense against the dark arts, i always loved that class back in school, I remember that one time the Professor accsedently let out one of the bogarts and how hard it was to get the class under control, but then it did. That is why I wanted to teach that one, ever since the professor retired and all. So that is what I am doing, and better for it as well." She grinned off again as she moved in the chair, it was such a nice day now, even with the rain.

Logan nodded his head in gratitude to what Cerri had said about him coming so far. He had been lost when he had left school, he was sure he had told Cerri years ago how afraid he had been that he would not make a name for himself. But then he had been taken on in International Magical Cooperation for his O grade in Muggle Studies and his wide knowledge of both the wizarding and muggle world. Being from a half and half family hadn't been so bad, despite what he had been told by some of the pure bloods. But look where he was now. He had showed them.
"Why thank you Miss Nights, that mean's a lot,"[/b] Logan remarked, when Cerri stated that he deserved the job. A smile was on his face as he took another drink from his butterbeer and found himself grateful that she approved of who he had become. It meant a lot more that she approved than just any other person. "As for feeling safer - I'm afraid my goal of making that happen is only going to get more difficult over the next few years,"[/b] Logan added, lowering his head a little, knowing that Cerri had no doubt heard of the rumours that the Death Eaters had returned. She was always one to be in the know, and if it weren't for him being the Minister, she would be the one telling him. Logan was glad when Cerri changed the topic of their conversation, and his smile returned when she told him which class she had taken up. "Even better, it's important that those kids learn how to defend themselves against it,"[/b] the Gryffindor informed her, knowing that at school he hadn't taken it as seriously as she should have; now he saw that class as the most important one. Lowering his head once again as his thoughts drifted to the meeting he would have to attend later that day, Logan let out a light sigh. "I have a meeting to go to later on, in Flourish and Blotts. The shop keeper there claimed to have seen some suspicious behaviour in Knockturn Alley. Of course no one there would own up to seeing anything, only the Diagon Alley shop keepers,"[/b] Logan informed Cerri, lowering his voice a little as he only trusted Cerri enough to hear that. He knew it would get out eventually, all he could do was try and calm it down before it did.

She shook her head some as she leaned back in her chair, the light of the room was making talking easy, and she had no fear for the moment. "No, no its the truth, you do. There have been many people in that job you know it. But, you're the first one that really has made himself known to the world, and as someone that is going to help people, help them more then just being a spineless jellyfish in the office. You remember, well reading the Minister that was in office the time when Harry Potter was still in school, he was very much a jellyfish. But you, you have the pride of the lions with this one," She smiled brightly that was the truth and she was going to make sure that he knew that, it was always the right thing to say. She was sure that something was going to go on later that day, but she was biding her time to let the fact that he was there talking to her sinking into her again. 'Don't give up hope on that though, remember its always darker before the storm, and then, like we have before we shall get through this and make the world a lot better then it had ever been."
She smiled some and then patted his hand, knowing that it will be ok one day, she knew of all the darkness that was going to come, she had seen it before, but she still, she did not know what side she wanted to fight on. She did not know where her heart was going to fall on this kind of thing, but that was how she always was, so easily pulled one way or another. "They will learn well, weather they want to or not, I know that this kind of a class is something that they are going to need, what with the threats and all, its not safe sometimes, to be at school, but Hogwarts is even more safer then it used to be, and i will put my life on the line to make sure that it stays that way, no matter what." She was always full of herself when she said things like that, she was taking another drink when he was talking about going down to the book seller, that was strange, that was where she was going to be going as well, made her smile. "Then maybe i can walk with you, I was just heading there myself but on, um less standings then what you are, just picking up some new books for teaching. But i dare say, if they have information that’s got to be something that we could use for what is going on." She looked around for a moment, keeping her voice down as well.
