CRACKKKK. A set of trophies fell to the floor infront of Kaelyn and she let out a small whimpering noise as she surveyed the broken pieces before her. It wasn't the best of days so far, that was for sure. The Hufflepuff had gone for a stroll around the castle and had seen that annoying Slytherin Blake in one of the corridors, so she had ducked into the nearest room to not have to encounter him. Backing into the room and quietly closing the door, Kaelyn had put all her efforts into the sneaking and not enough into watching where she was going, causing her to back right into one of the trophy cases and knock three trophies off the top of it. Her cheeks were blushing red, she could feel them burning up, and she looked from the door back to the trophies on the floor.
Bending down so she was on her knees quickly, Kaelyn brushed some of her curly blonde hair out of her face and picked up a few of the broken pieces around her. Lifting them up to examine them, the Hufflepuff considered trying to fit them all back together, but there were just too many of them. "Oh sugar," Kaelyn muttered to herself, and she jumped a little when she heard the door handle turning. Someone was coming into the room. Someone must have heard the noise. Or maybe it was just more bad luck that someone should stumble across her like this. Whatever the reason, Kaelyn quickly stood up a piece of broken trophy in each hand, and smiled sheepishly as the door opened. "It was like this when I found it - honest!" Kaelyn called out, not really in a convincing manner to the figure in the doorway, who as she got over her nerves of trying to convince them she hadn't done it, she really she knew who they were ...

With a quiet yawn Allora De’Fleur made her way down the endless halls of Hogwarts School. She’d felt so restless today perhaps that was the power in her; she hadn’t used it in a while though she more glad for that fact. Fire was dangerous! She bit her lip and let out a sigh, scolding herself inwardly, she’d promised herself she wouldn’t even think about her power hadn’t that gone well. Frowning she pulled the sleeves of her long red sweater (that was easily two sizes to big) so the ends overlapped her hands covering them in red comfy material. Catching her reflection in the mirror she frowned at the so called mess that stared back at her, Allora was extremely self conscious when it came to her appearance she trod the fine line of self conscious and vanity as she was forever checking her appearance to make sure it was at least presentable. She’d never really had much confidence in her appearance her skin was pale and very dull yet unblemished, her eyes though brown were a boring brown and her hair well sometimes it was tameable, sometimes. Today thankfully she’d managed to straighten it, using a spell she’d found in a spell book on appearances she was happy with the work though it didn’t distract her from the fact she thought the rest of her appearance was a mess. With an inward sigh she continued her way down the corridor passing the great hall she continued down the steps the dungeons. She stopped as she jumped down the last couple of steps, smiling to herself at what she must have looked like jumping like that. The dungeon corridor was completely deserted so humming to herself she began to skip slowly down it taking in the scenery that the dungeon corridors held, if one could really call it scenery, a view paintings on brick stony walls did nothing but increase the creepiness of the place. She was half tempted to cast lumos as well, though she knew that would be stupid considering the place was bathed in light from the torches on the walls. She was just being silly. Suddenly a large crash echoed the corridors, Allora jumped in fright as she turned to whence the noise came from her eyes widened as she saw the door that was only slightly open, gulping quietly as she crept towards the noise. “H-hello” she called softly as she pushed open the door feeling the relief wash over her as it was Kaelyn that greeted her. Her eyes darted to the broken trophy and her expression softened. “Had another accident?” she asked as a grin broke over her features “what are you like” she teased as she made her way over to her friend. “I can help you fix it if you like?” offered Allora taking out her wand and pointing it at the trophy, Allora was good with charms so fixing the trophies would be a doddle, she pointed it at the mess muttering the charm watching as the coloured sparks issued from the wands end fixing the broke pieces together, giving the appearance that no incident had happened. “There fixed!” she said her grin returning “I haven’t seen you all morning so I’ve been reading have you read Macbeth before I like reading Shakespeare’s plays, those muggles are just so interesting especially their views on witches!” she exclaimed happily

Kaelyn picked up on the slightly nervous expression on Allora, and picked up on waves of relief washing over her when she too recognised who it was. The two had been friends since they were tiny first years, lost in the corridors and struggling to fit in away from home. It made things a little difficult being in different houses, but their contrasts in personality were really what made them such good friends. While Allora was smart and a little bit of a daydreamer, Kaelyn was much more patient and often had to apologise to people when Allora zoned out into a dream.
Now here Allora was, picking up the pieces for Kaelyn literally. In a flick of a wand Allora cast a simple repairing spell and the piece of trophy in the Hufflepuff's hand was ripped away and back with the other pieces. The trophies now sat on the floor, all in one piece again, and Kaelyn quickly went about setting them back on the shelves. Why she hadn't thought to cast such a simple spell she'd never know, but she was thankful for Allora being so quick-minded and turned back to face her, finally letting a smile appear on her face now that she was a little more relaxed. "You're a life saver Lora, I was so worried a Prefect was going to walk through that door, and I don't think my excuse that I found it that way would have worked," Kaelyn remarked with a quiet giggle as she took another look at the row of trophies, as though willing them not to fall again. "What're you doing here then? Don't tell me you were miles away and the crashing sound brought you running," Kaelyn added with a grin as she stepped away from the trophy cabinet so she couldn't cause any more damage.

She smiled at her friend watching as Kaelyn carefully placed the trophies on the shelves, Allora liked things in order and wasn’t a big fan of clutter, though that was probably an understatement. She loved organisation it was probably becoming more of an OCD now, that was why she liked the library so much order. It was wonderful, her part of the dorm room was stupidly organised with everything in the right position. She smiled at the thought of her room tidy and cosy as always losing herself in her thoughts as they slowly transcended into a fully fledged daydream something completely unrelated, a far away expression etched across her pale features before she finally snapped out of it. “Sorry” she apologised, a sheepish expression danced across her features as they redden slightly as she’d been caught daydreaming. That was another thing her parents criticised her for, her daydreams they thought it stupid and frivolous things like that were a taboo in her high society home. Hogwarts provided the perfect escape from that home and she was so happy to go, it was like leaving a strange place and coming to her real home, a place where you weren’t told off or chastised for doing something entirely normal. Allora had big plans for life after Hogwarts once she left home Allora planned to travel a lot or do something that gave her a small sense of adventure. Perhaps she’d become an aura? The job description always appealed to her and she was already in the order of the phoenix which had to count as brownie points towards getting the job.
“It was no problem Kae” she smiled “I’m always here to help” She leant her head to one side. What was she doing down here? Truthfully she’d been lost in her thoughts, that had started her journey and being the true dreamer she was she’d continued in those thoughts till she’d ended up where she was. It sounded so silly when she thought back on it and she blushed at how silly she must have looked. She flicked the wind across her hands before burying it in her sweater pocket. “Truthfully, you could say I just drifted down here” she grinned playing with a lose bit of thread that had escaped one of the hems of her sweater, the tiny fragile red material broke of as she dropped it absentmindedly. Her eyes turned to Kaelyns once again as she grinned. “What were you hiding from here anyway?” she asked teasingly.

Kaelyn was now able to relax a little more now that all the trophies were back where they should be, and she listened as Allora said she had just drifted to this area. Casting back to what she said about having been reading that morning, Kaelyn chuckled a little as she imagined Allora walking around the castle with her nose buried in a book. "Ah, so that means you weren't looking where you were going," Kaelyn remarked with a smile as she pulled her robes in towards her. There was a draft running through the room that had just become apparent to her now that her mind was not elsewhere. She tended not to notice things like that until she was completely at ease.
The Hufflepuff shuddered a little as Allora asked who she had been trying to escape from. The image of Blake drifted into her mind, and she mocked a wretching noise as though the very thought of him made her want to vomit. "Blake Bloodmoon, ugh. Do you know him? Scum of a Slytherin who seems to have a massive problem with me," Kaelyn remarked, lowering her head a little as she did not particularly enjoy having enemies, or even people who weren't keen on her. Either people liked her, or she had to pretend that they did. And it was hard to pretend Blake did when he made it so vocally apparent he didn't. "But I got away," Kaelyn quickly added with a smile as she twirled a strand of her hair around her finger, examining it as though the most interesting thing in the world. "So do you approve of my fellow muggle Shakespeare?" Kaelyn questioned with a giggle, knowing that her muggle-born heritage was something she was proud of around the right people, and that included Allora. She didn't have to hide who she was, or feel ashamed because others thought a witch born to muggle parents was not good enough.

“Well I guess that depends what you mean by nose in a book” she chuckled, it wouldn’t be the first time Allora had been caught doing that, she loved reading, she was the type that could lock herself away in a room for hours at a time. Pouring over the classics, her favourites where of course the works of the Bronte sisters, Jane Austin and of course Dickens. She loved the old fairytales as well and with their views on witches it was a real funny read. That was probably why she enjoyed muggle studies so much. Muggles just interested her and she was forever asking Kaelyn questions about muggle life or objects she supposed Kaelyn was used to it though still she blushed or rambled on when asking about something. Allora’s eyes widened as Kaelyn explained why she’d been hiding. “You’re kidding? And he just- oh Kae are you okay?” she asked worriedly, Allora was a worrier whenever anything bad happened to her friends it would bother her, she felt her anger rise at how that idiot got away with it, her eyes widened once more as she realised what was happening, she shivered, feeling the energy rush through her body her eyes grew more and more panicked stricken. “How about I M-meet you later” she offered with a grin “then we can talk about possible revenge” she had already rushed out of the room as she finished her speech. “I have some w-work I forgot about” she called, hiding her hands as the fire surrounded them she tucked them in her robes willing the fire not to set the robes alight, begging for some sort of control over it. She darted down a random corridor as tears began to leak from her eyes, she hates lying to her friends. Especially Kaelyn the two were best friends and she felt terrible. Finally reaching an empty corridor did she finally reveal her hands that flamed a bright orange. “I’m such a freak” she wept sitting down so she leant against the wall burying her head in her knees.

The change in Allora's expression was a little worrying to Kaelyn, she had never seen her friend act this way. For the six years that they had known each other, she had never just turned and run away from her like that. The door to the trophy room swung shut behind her, and Kaelyn blinked a few times. "Did I - say something wrong?" Kaelyn questioned out loud, before she moved quickly to the door and pulled it open, slipping back out into the corridor. It was crowded out there, and Kaelyn couldn't pick out any individual faces that she recognised, just groups of people.
Well at least Blake seemed to have gone now, but Kaelyn was more worried about Allora than about running into the Slytherin. She chewed on her bottom lip lightly before she moved in between the crowd, her head searching around for the Ravenclaw. She wouldn't be too hard to find if she was here, after all her hair often gave her away in the games they would play around the castle in their first year. Then they had grown up and moved from playing hide and seek to talking about boys. But she was no where to be seen. Kaelyn continued to search around the castle for a good half hour before she retired to the Hufflepuff common room, vowing to find Allora at dinner that night, even if all her fellow Ravenclaws glared at her for hovering over their table. She needed to make sure that she was okay.
