if niamh lehane had looked back on her life eleven years ago, she'd never have thought she'd be patrolling the street where griffin lived. he was the kind of friend she thought she'd keep for the whole of eternity. he was twelve and she was ten - and even though she didn't know it then, she was head over heels in love with him. looking back on it, it was everything about the two of them together that made them 'the terrible twosome' as their parents had called them. whenever niamh was feeling down, griffin wouldn't hesitate to invite her round for a sleepover - where surprisingly she did a lot of sleeping. it was the mere sensation of being near the boy that consoled her, sometimes even sleeping next to him on the blanket they'd make on the floor.
