TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES! HERA ELLADORA LOURVE - PUREBLOOD - 26 - DIVINATION PROFESSOR DEATH EATER - INTELLIGENT - DIGNIFIED - POLITE - AIR BLUNT - RAVENCLAW ALUMNI - SCARED OF RELATIONSHIP COMMITMENTS FRIENDS Contrary to her sometimes cold outer shell, Hera does have friends. She had a very good group of them when she was in school, and that would have carried on into adulthood. She did go traveling for a few years before she started teaching, so there might also be some strained friendships due to her lack of keeping in touch. Relatively speaking, the only thing that will keep you from becoming her friend is your intellectual level. Can't keep up in conversation? Don't bother. You're boring. She'll tolerate you, but you probably won't be getting a Christmas card. She is also a professor who doesn't mind being friends with her students. Many of them are interesting, and she doesn't necessarily hold them to the same strict adult standards when it comes to knowing how to discuss topics on an intellectual level equal to hers.
LOVERS The term 'lovers' suited her romantic conquests more than anything. She would rather have someone just for sex than be tied down to them. Her parents were too ... together. It just seemed unhealthy, and growing up, she knew that she never wanted to be like them. It was too mushy and gross. Yes, maybe she'd get married one day, but not now. She isn't even thirty yet! That being said, there is room for lovers (past and current) and potential suitors.
ENEMIES People that are so blatantly pro-Order tend to piss her off a little bit, as well as those who fully support the Ministry, no questions asked. She thinks the Minister is too young to be in office, and believes that his party won't be much better than the ones before it. Otherwise, it takes a lot to earn the 'enemy' card... She may dislike you if you insult her, or try to fight her, or something along those lines, but you need to push really really hard for that sheer level of hate to be there that it's ridiculous.
OTHERS Students, peers, family (she has a bit of a deadbeat brother named Zeus), past relationships, future relationships... WHATEVER! I love plotting, so fire something my way if you see something you like (: .

My COMC Professor Basil has a little bit of an *ahem* problem in that he is easily tempted by the opposite sex. So they could be flings, like friends with benefits that also talk to each other? But because Basil isn't exactly monogamous, maybe then he finds a new obsession and suddenly isn't available for her anymore which gets to her. She'll find this hard to accept and try to seduce him frequently before realizing maybe that there are more feelings there than just lust?
Running away with an idea here, stop me whenever

I actually quite like that idea! The flings would be great for Hera, and when he isn't around to cater to her needs anymore, she'd probably just get annoyed. Something along the lines of... he should always be avaliable for me, or something.
They can fight, Hera can try to get him strictly focused on her... it would turn into more of a competition than anything, I think. Something that she wouldn't want to lose, but deep down she knows that there's no real "connection" or anything, just sex and a basic friendship that's developed after working together.

Exactly that! A competition. Constantly fighting for his attention and trying to prove that she's the best he could get type thing. I like this !
EDIT: I had a really funny idea! If Basil starts a relationship with one of the older students, Hera could start being a little ignorant of that poor girl in lessons and giving her too much homework in the hopes of keeping her away from him.
EDIT EDIT: the title of this thread is from Family Guy, right?

I think she'll fight to a certain point. After that, she might move on to someone else who she doesn't have to make such an effort to get something out of. However, for a while, it would be a stab at her ego that she doesn't have him at her beck and call. I'm not too sure if she'd be straight up mean to a student, but she might be a touch snarkier, and she'd probably threaten to expose them to someone at some point.

Our characters happen to be the same age, do you have any ideas for an interesting backstory to their time in Hogwarts? Brandon was, and still is, quite the loner, so he wouldn't have extended it to being friends with Hera, but they could have had some sort of complicated love interest plot?
